The department of Industrial Training and Vocational Education, Haryana is imparting training in various trades/vocations through following schemes.
1. Craftsman Training Scheme
2. Vocational Education Scheme
3. Apprenticeship Scheme

What are the objectives of Craftsman Training Scheme?

The objective of this scheme are to ensure the steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the Industries, to raise quality and quantity of Industrial production by systematic training of youth and to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by equipping them for suitable Industrial employment. Under this scheme, training in 41 Engineering and Non-Engineering trades is being imparted through 45 Industrial Training Institutes,25 Industrial Training Institute (WW) &6 Industrial Training Institute (Women). Duration of training for different trades varies form 1to3 years. Total seating capacity in all the Industrial Training Institutes is 15617.

What are the objectives of Vocational Education Scheme?

The objectives of Vocational Education Scheme are to provide diversification of educational opportunities so as to enhance individual employability, reduce the mis-match between demand and supply of skilled manpower and to provide alternative for those pursuing higher education. Under this scheme Training in 19 Vocations is being imparted through 116 Vocational Education Institutes, at 10+2 level. Duration of training in all vocations is 2 years. Total seating capacity in all Vocational Education Institutes is 17320.

What are the objectives of Apprenticeship Scheme ?

The objectives of the apprenticeship training scheme are to regulate the training of apprentices in the Industries so as to conform to the prescribed syllabi/approved programmes as laid down by Central Apprenticeship Council.

Procedure for availing the benefit of each Scheme

Where to go (Who accepts the application, designation)?

The application forms for admission in I.T.Is and VEI’s, are accepted by Principals of respective Industrial Training Institutes and Vocational Education Institutes.

Timings (for submission of forms)?

Generally admission forms are to be submitted in the month of July each year. The exact dates for submission of application forms are published in English and Hindi Newspapers.

Whom to meet (Designation of the officers)?

Principal of concerned Institutes.

Fees (for forms and fees of the service)?

The cost of prospectus along with admission from is Rs.30/-for I.T.Is and Rs.20/- for VEIs. A monthly fee of Rs.15/- is charges from the students. No fee is charged from girl students.

Checklist and eligibility criteria?

Reservation for different categories are given as per Haryana Govt. rules for Education Institutes. For admission in I.T.Is admission qualification is generally matriculation. In some courses qualification is 8th passed and for computer courses admission qualification is 10+2 pass. The candidates must attach proof of date of birth. Qualifications, along with marksheet with their admission forms.

When will and in how many days, the user should receive response from the department and conditions if any?

The dates for interview are published in newspapers and also given in the prospectus (Prospectus will be sold by the Department in the beginning of academic session).
