Panchkula is a planned city in Panchkula District, Haryana, India. It is a satellite city of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The prestigious Chandimandir Cantonment Headquarters of the Indian Western Command, is also located in Panchkula city. In view of the heavy rains for the last few days and the potential danger, District Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson DDMA, Panchkula, Mrs. Monica Gupta, has issued an order that: On 5 September 2025 also All government and private: schools, Anganwadi centers, ITI, colleges, polytechnics and sports stadiums will remain closed in the entire district. General public is appealed to stay at home, avoid unnecessary travel and keep an eye on the latest weather information.
